ConvertersWhat these converters cover
A conversion is only as reliable as its unit definition. A US gallon is not an Imperial gallon, a gigabyte is not a gibibyte, and a marla in revenue records is not the marla used in some Lahore housing schemes. Each converter names the definition it uses and shows the factor in the result.
Physical units have fixed factors, so those conversions never go out of date. Currency is different: rates move all day and banks add a spread. Currency Converter uses the rate you enter from your bank or exchange company, or can fill in a dated daily mid-market reference rate for you to check against.
Start from a common question
Start with a familiar question. Each shortcut opens the right calculator with the relevant options selected.
Currency Converters
Convert a foreign currency to Pakistani rupees with the rate from your bank or exchange company. Each pair opens the same converter with both currencies selected.
Unit Converters
Common length, weight and temperature pairs, opened in the converter that holds the exact unit definitions.
Which tool fits your question?
The Volume Converter supports metric capacity, US liquid units and Imperial gallons. Select the source and destination explicitly: a US liquid gallon and an Imperial gallon have different sizes, even though both are called a gallon.
The result shows the factor used and a common-liter comparison so you can check the direction of the conversion. For a regulated or laboratory calculation, confirm the unit definition and required rounding precision in the specification you are using.
Length and Area use international-foot definitions; Area squares those length factors. Weight covers mass in metric and ordinary avoirdupois units, while Temperature needs offset formulas and rejects values below absolute zero. Speed converts a distance-per-time rate. Time Converter scales fixed elapsed durations; use Time Duration for two timestamps or Date Arithmetic for calendar moves.
Data Storage distinguishes decimal kB/MB/GB from binary KiB/MiB/GiB and lowercase bits from uppercase bytes. Number Base instead changes an integer's positional notation among binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal; it does not convert data capacity or fixed-width machine bits.
Currency Converter multiplies an amount by a visitor-entered destination-units-per-source-unit rate, or derives SAR, AED and QAR rates from a US-dollar quote and the official pegs. Unlike physical unit converters, it has no fixed conversion factor; exchange quotes change and provider fees may apply.
Marla & Kanal converts Pakistani land units through square feet and asks which marla you mean: 272.25 sq ft in revenue records or 225 sq ft in Lahore and Faisalabad urban areas and DHA Lahore. Use Area Converter for international units only.

- KB vs KiB: Why a 1 TB Drive Shows About 931 GBDrive makers count 1 TB as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. Divided by 1,024 three times, those same bytes are 931.32 GiB, and some operating systems print that figure with a GB label. No space is lost in that step.Read article
- Marla to Square Feet: 225 or 272.25, and Why It MattersA revenue marla is 272.25 sq ft and a Lahore, Faisalabad or DHA marla is 225 sq ft, so the same "5 marla" can be 1,361.25 or 1,125 sq ft. The larger marla is exactly 21% bigger, and every price per marla comparison needs that checked first.Read article
Converters questions
01Why does a 1 TB drive show about 931 GB on my computer?
The drive is sold in decimal terabytes, 10¹² bytes, while many systems report binary gibibytes, 2³⁰ bytes, but label them GB. Data Storage Converter shows both.
02Which marla size should I choose?
Use the size in your document or scheme. Revenue records use 272.25 sq ft per marla, while Lahore and Faisalabad urban areas and DHA Lahore commonly use 225 sq ft.
03Why is temperature conversion not a single multiplication?
Celsius and Fahrenheit have different zero points, so the formula needs an offset as well as a scale factor. Kelvin starts at absolute zero, and the converter rejects lower values.
